I ordered these as a stocking stuffer for my wife last Christmas. As Christmas approached, I checked the status of my shipment, only to be told that I had returned the package - even though I never received it. I complained to Amazon and they told me to try to settle it myself with the vendor. The vendor never answered e-mail. I was refunded the cost of the item, but they kept the shipping charges. Beware of buying Fiesta products from Amazon!!

These are really great shakers. They're pretty small though so don't plan on serving corn on the cob to 10 people and expecting it to last through the dinner. They look fantastic on a table display and really add flair to your decorating. They're functional, but they really could stand to be a little bigger. I'm happy with them though - the plum are just gorgeous!

I have these on the table when it's just me or a few friends. Because of the size, they need to to filled often. The good thing about the size is that they aren't obvious when they're on the table. They also don't take up a lot of table top space. The shape is a little odd, but it fits well in your hand, so you don't have to worry about dropping it.On the plus size, they match all of my Fiestaware! They really aren't that bad. They are functional and are great to have on hand for eating popcorn on the sofa or on the table when there are a few people over.Should Homer Laughlin China, Company improve on these, I would make them a little less like the candlestick holders and perhaps more like a smaller version of the stove top S&P shakers.

What a great masterpiece! This beautiful salt and pepper shaker set is an attractive, useful set. Great to use for bright rooms! Cheery color- even the pepper will brighten your day!

Beautiful, nice size. Nice addition to our Christmas dishes. Only problem is the holes in the shakers are quite large, giving you a little more than you bargained for the first time you use them. I suggest shaking gently.

These salt and pepper shakers were purchased to go along with my set of Winterberry dishes. It completes the set! I am glad that I purchased them as they are nice and were also on sale!

I purchased the salt and pepper shakers to go with the Pfaltzgraff Winterberry set of dishes. They are so pretty. This is not fine china, rather it is very nice stoneware that is sturdy yet appears very elegant because of the delicate decor. All pieces came intact and there were no flaws in any of the pieces. I got every piece purchased on sale, which made it easy to buy extra pieces.

I had been hunting for these for 9 months. I bought my sister the Winterberry service for twelve with numerous matching pieces. I was sick I couldn't find the salt & pepper shakers. I put myself on email alert, which I thought would never happen, it did!! I bought my sister 2 sets and they were great. Really nice sized and the pattern is beautiful. What a great addition and she was truly pleased.

I bought one of these for my Mother who has collected for years. My recommendation is to save your money, as this is one of the worst. Very poorly done, appears to have been tossed together in a hurry to beat a deadline or something.

Contrary to the two reviews here, the S&P guide has met with overwhelming positive comments directed to me and Krause Publications. An incredibly detailed table of contents is found on page 4 of the book ... there's no excuse for lazy reading by an inattentive buyer. Did they contact the two main collector resources found on page 7? Plus, there's contact info for the main contributor if readers have more questions. Did they bother to call? Or did they flip through the book, and, not finding an exact match, decide it was no good? The book is also clearly divided into shakers identified by form and by maker. There have been billions of pairs of shakers made over the last 100+ years, and the fact that these two couldn't fine their exact shakers is not surprising. This is a tool, one of many that collectors should use. Buy the book and find out for yourself.

I waited over 6 months for this lazy excuse for a guide, listing only 1000 shakers. I have about 70 from the 1940's-70's in my collection, and only found 4 in this book. By the authors own admission, he owns over 3000. Why aren't they listed? The pics are nice but the book is very poorly done. Save your money.

I am extremely disappointed. Following my mother's recent death, I came across her old collection of over 80 sets - at least 90% of which are over 50 years old. I thought this book would be of help in learning about them. NOT EVEN CLOSE! While it says it lists "More than 1,000 salt & pepper shakers...." there is no index & no table of contents. Only 1 set that I have was in this book. While there are great color pictures, and similar types are together (sort of), you have to thumb through the entire book to try to find a particular item. Then do it again... and again. This is a total waste of money and a poor attempt to "Get the Shakedown on Your Collection"! I am the one who got Shook Down. I recommend trying to find a copy to look through before buying this. I wish I had.
